DataPro, a Nigerian credit rating agency and compliance consulting firm, has announced a five-day Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Bootcamp to strengthen the capacity of risk professionals and enhance institutional resilience.
The training programme will take place from August 3 to 7, 2026, at the DataPro Academy in Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos, with daily sessions scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
According to the company, the bootcamp is designed to equip participants with the technical knowledge and enterprise-wide approach needed to effectively manage credit, market, operational, compliance and liquidity risks within a unified risk management framework.
The programme will also provide hands-on training in advanced financial risk measurement, including IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL), Value at Risk (VaR) and Economic Value of Equity (EVE), while exposing participants to Basel III/IV standards and the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Risk-Based Supervision framework.
DataPro said participants will engage in practical case studies, stress-testing exercises and the application of the Three Lines of Defense model to help organisations adopt a more proactive and value-driven approach to risk management.
“The programme is designed to elevate risk professionals from operational executors to strategic enterprise risk leaders by building technical proficiency, regulatory fluency and leadership capabilities needed to identify, integrate and mitigate risks across institutions,” the company said.
The curriculum includes enterprise risk governance and strategy, credit underwriting, operational risk management, market and liquidity risk management, asset and liability management, as well as emerging risks such as climate change, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
Participants will also receive training on risk appetite frameworks, governance structures, business continuity management, liquidity management, credit risk modelling and macro-prudential stress testing, among other contemporary risk management practices.
The bootcamp is targeted at Chief Risk Officers, risk managers, compliance officers, finance and treasury professionals, senior executives, board members and other stakeholders responsible for risk governance.
Established in 1995, DataPro is one of Nigeria’s three licensed credit rating agencies. The company also provides compliance advisory, business information and third-party verification services, and says it has trained professionals from more than 70 per cent of banks and non-bank financial institutions in the country.
The firm said the initiative underscores its commitment to strengthening risk management capabilities across Nigeria’s financial services sector by promoting global best practices that align with local regulatory requirements.
