Selected food prices have this week recorded declines in markets across the country; these are mostly produce that are being harvested. However, Abuja markets are relatively stable w-o-w.

While beans got as high as 80,000 Naira in Donga market Taraba state, olotu sold for 62,000 Naira in Bodija and Oloyin 32,000 Naira. Olotu went for 68,000 per bad in Daleko Lagos state while Oloyin sold at 36,000 Naira per bag. Meanwhile in Kujama market Kaduna State, iron beans traded at 75,000 Naira per bad and white beans 73,000 Naira; soya beans in same market traded at 37,000 Naira. In same market maize reduced w-o-w to 28,000 Naira per bag from 35,000 Naira recorded the previous week. This is as the new yields flood markets due to continuous harvest. Maize in Donga went down  to 20,000 Naira per bag, losing 1,000 Naira on the week. However, the southrn part of the country is yet to witness this influx of new yields as maize sold for 68,000 Naira in Daleko market; flour sold there at 46,000 Naira and sugar 48,000 Naira in the same market.

For oils, palm oil sold at 30,000 Naira for 25 litres and vegetable oil 33,000 Naira for same quantity.

Yam is also in abundance in the north as 10 tubers in Tor Damisa market Taraba state now go for 5,500 Naira, 4,500 Naira in Donga and 30,000 for 100 tubers in Wukari, it went lower than the previous week. Other farm produce in Donga market include egusi, 65,000 Naira per bag, cassava flour, 16,000 Naira and beniseed sold between 130,000 Naira and 140,000 Naira per bag. Groundnut, 16,000 Naira per bag; gari, 320 Naira per mudu and rice is stable at 35,000 Naira from the previous week. Rice lost 3,000 Naira to 35,000 Naira in same market, sold for 45,000 Naira in Daleko, 33,000 Naira in Tor Damisa and remained stable in other markets surveyed.
